Mel simply stuck her tongue out again at his words. She didn't want to be tickled again, that was for sure. It wasn't she hated being tickled, but it was kind of annoying, and sometimes people simply poked her, which tickled and hurt at the same time. Wasn't fun. She didn't like being hurt, mentally or physically. Of course, there weren't many people that did. Those that did were.....odd. "Yeah, yeah, keep on thinking that." She replied, motioning as if shooing something off.
Mel laughed at his reply. He had obviously not been listening closely. "I know you didn't. I said, if you'd been listening, that it's not like I would ditch you if you refused my offering." She heaved an exaggerated sigh, and shook her head. She wondered where he had gotten the notion that he had said something about her ditching him. Who knew? She never knew where some of his ideas came from. Clear out of space, some of them seemed.
Mel lifted her eyebrows about kids in Africa. She sure didn't say anything about them. Besides, when did he start thinking about them. They sure as heck didn't matter. Sure, it was sad that they were starving, but she couldn't do anything about it, not now. And she didn't plan on doing anything for them anytime soon. "Fatty wouldn't work for you, I'm sorry. And what the heck do African children have to do with the price of tchea in Tina?" She mixed up the tea and china, but that's how she had learned it, and it stuck. She couldn't even remember why it was that way, or where she heard it.
Another sigh, more normal this time, escaped her lips. She was bored, her friends, besides Elliot, weren't here. Oh, what was she to do? "Nooo!!! I won't surviiiive!" She cried in response to him saying she would survive. Of course, unless some killer or something came, she would more than likely survive the day, but it was so much more fun to say otherwise. She flapped her hands in exaggeration of her words. "The world is going to come to an eeeeennddd!!" She exclaimed dramatically. She didn't mind the stares she was getting from the people that were lounging about nearby. [/blockquote]

She was sticking out her tongue at him again. Elliot had the sudden urge to grab it, just to see what she would do. ”If you stick that tongue of yours out at me again, I’ll grab it! I swear.” Oh, and he would! It was far from an empty threat. The question was though, if Mel would take him serious or not. That or she would push it and see if he really meant it or not by sticking out her tongue, again.
Well, he had been listening to what she said. He usually did, at least. Maybe it was just misinterpreting it or something. Well, at times Elliot could be quite the airhead. ”Well, okay then. It’s not like you would ditch me anywayss..you’d never ditch me. Or, at least I’d hope so.” One of the most things in the world that hurt was to get ditched by someone you truly cared about. Being left out really sucked, and Elliot knew exactly how it felt.
Elliot nodded his head in agreement towards her comment. ”I agree, I don’t think it would work for me. I don’t think it works for anyone, actually..” Very true. Fat people were just..not attractive. It seemed rude to think like that, because some people couldn’t help if they were fat or not. It was true though, he really..couldn’t find anything attractive about someone really overweight. Wait, what about tchea in Tina? ”W..huh? who said anything about tea in china?” Now whos mind was wandering? Of course, he understood Mel’s little ‘language’ because he had been around her for so long. If someone had randomly heard her say that, they probably would have been really confused. Or thought she was flat out stupid.
A single eyebrow lifted as she began to throw a little tantrum right there..on his lap. ”Now now, Mel. Calm down. I’m sure you’ll survive, just take oneee little step at a time..and don’t look at the clocks.” Of course, his days at school were normally way shorter than what Mel had to endure. He normally ditched at the end, and he normally only stayed the ENTIRE day maybe once or twice a week. ”Well, the world can come to an end, as long as you’re here by my side.” Hello big giant cheesey comment!

Melanthe rolled her eyes at him. Why in the world would he want to put his hand on her wet, pink tongue? That would be completely nasty. Not to mention that she'd have the taste of whatever may be on his hands, on her tongue? Now that would be nasty. But who on the world would really want some girl's spit on their hands, willingly? She completely didn't believe a word he said, and stuck out her tongue.
A smirk once again graced her lips. "Ah, but that's what you may think. Would I ditch you? Perhaps. Just depeeeeenndsss!" She grinned, looking behind her at him. She'd never ditch him, even if her life depended on it. Not unless he did something extremely horrendous to her. If he did something really, really, really, really, really, really, really bad to her or one of their other friends. Something life changing, something that would scar on of them for life. Ya know? Something so completely crazy, wrong, horrendous, nasty, disgusting, that they couldn't help but remember forevermore. But she highly doubted he'd do something like that.
Mel nodded. Fat just wasn't right. Sure, it was a bit rude. But fat was just wrong. People said they couldn't help but being fat, but they could. They were born skinny, and they chose to overeat, to the point where they grew, and grew. The worst were the people that were so fat it was gross. Some fat people weren't gross, they were just sad. She had some friends that were overweight, and she didn't make fun of them. They were nice, and she didn't have a problem with them. But those that were truly and utterly fat it was completely nasty and wrong.
Mel couldn't help but giggle at his reaction to her odd saying. "Nobody said anything about tea in china. I said, again, if you were listening, that what do African kids have to do with the price of tchea in tina? Complete difference, don't you see? You said something about African children, something that had nothing to do with what we were talking about." She replied with a grin. Geez, she was lucky that he had come to understand her odd sayings, and even lingo, sometimes. Because of that, he could be her translator for anybody that didn't understand her.
Mel stuck out her lower lip in a pout. "If I take one little step at a time, I'll be late for all my classes, which would guarantee me not surviving today. Anyways, if I don't look at the clock, time will go oh so much slower. I still won't surviiiive!!" She complained pouting still. She knew that he endured much less than her. He always had to leave earlier to pick up his sister. It was odd that nobody ever questioned that fact. She was pretty sure that everyone that knew of him, and knew him, knew that fact. She was pretty sure all the teachers, and even the principal knew it. Yet, they did nothing.
She raised an eyebrow at his comment. "Nice try, but that is something you'd say to a girlfriend or boyfriend. Anyways, that was completely cheesy, so never, ever say that again. Please. Spare me the cheesiness. Else I think I may die from it. It's been proven a cause of death, ya know? Some guy using too many cheesy lines on his girlfriend, eventually she'll just pass out and die." It was a complete lie, of course, but it sounded cool. Especially for something that had only just popped in her head. [/blockquote]

Well, Elliot had given Mel a fair warning. Even though grabbing someone’s tongue was super gross, he would do it. Just to make a point. Elliot quickly reached out and grabbed her tongue in-between his thumb and pointer finger. Really though, he couldn’t hold onto it very well, due to the fact that her tongue was all slimy with slobber. A triumphant grin grew onto the males lips as he lifted an eyebrow, waiting for the females reaction.
A frown appeared though, as she continued on saying she might ditch him. ”That would make me really super sad.” He told her, speaking quite truthfully. Though, he really did hope that she wouldn’t ever ditch him. It’d be a good way to push him away and hurt his feelings, though. If she ever really wanted to do such a thing. Elliot knew that he would never ever do something like that to Mel. Even if he ever managed to get mad at her, he wouldn’t be able to stay mad. So the ditching would never even be a possibility! ”I’d never ditch you.”
Oh man, this whole conversation was just confusing. Elliot was getting severely lost in the whole thing. He leaned his head forward, resting his forehead against the back of her shoulder. ”Mel..you totally lost me..” He spoke, before laughing softly. Sure, what he said was off, but at least it had made sense. Now, tchea in tina was completely off and really had nothing to do with anything they were talking about.
This was true, if she took one little step at a time she would be late. ”Take fast little steps at a time.” Elliot offered, laughing even more. She would look like one of those wind up toys if she did that. The thought of Mel being a wind up toy just made him laugh even more. Yeah, it was definitely odd that nobody at the school called him out for hardly being around all the time. He was sure that eventually they would, and he’d get busted, and all hell would break loose. In truth, Elliot was waiting for the very day to come, because he was sure that his luck would run out sometime. Hopefully later than sooner, though.
Elliot frowned as his cheesy comment was shot down by Mel. ”Aw…but you’re a girl and you’re my friend. So you’re my girlfriend. So I can say cheesy stuff to you.” Well, he knew for a fact that she meant the real kind of girlfriend. He didn’t, and probably wouldn’t ever have one though, so he had to spill his cheesy comments to SOMEONE. It just happened to be Mel today! Aww, there she went again, shooting down his cheesy comments and telling him not to say any anymore. ”Meany..fine. I’ll find someone else that will enjoy listening to my cheesy lines..” No, he really wouldn’t. Oh well.

Mel was surprised when he actually grabbed her tongue. She didn't think he would, but he did. She should have expected it, really. She knew him well enough that he meant what he said, usually. His threats, unless deadly, were usually not empty. She spluttered, slightly aghast. Of course, he wasn't pinching hard, so it was inevitable that his fingers, wet with her saliva, should slip off. As soon as they did, she started to spit in the grass next to her. "Dude, that was nasty....meanie."
Mel grinned at him, and turned to wrap her arms around him. "I won't diiitch yooouuu!!" She sang. "Not unless you do something so horribly bad that I couldn't stand you. But I highly doubt that would happen." She could never stay mad too long at him. If they had to leave each other, she would be really, really, really sad. She'd probably cry a good bit, too. He was her best friend, the one she didn't think she could ever go without. The person she could always trust when something was going bad. The person she could always turn to. He was the bestest friend anyone could ever have. "You'd never ever ditch me? What if I did something horrendously horrible to you or your friends or something? Something that.....well, was horrendously horrible?" She demanded. Even if he did something horrendously horrible, she'd still like him, but it would be different, yeah. She spat again, making sure the taste was out of her mouth.
Mel laughed at his comment. Well, it was true enough, anyways. She think she probably lost herself somewhere along there. She didn't know. She often confused herself and other people. Especially when she used one of her odd sayings. That was probably the one thing that could be the most confusing of anything she ever did or would ever do. She patted his head, before pushing it back up. She climbed off his lap, careful not to touch any of her spit, and sat back down where she had been before, a bit away from him because he had moved before she sat on his lap. She spat again on the spot next to her, and huffed. But she couldn't help but grin at the odd situation.
Mel rolled her eyes at him. "And look like some idiot that had to use the bathroom but doesn't dare go in? No thanks. That would be what I would look like if I did that. Seriously. I'd be mocked." Okay, maybe not. But in her mind, that would be what she would look like. Like some scared freshie, even though everyone that knew her knew she wasn't, that didn't want to go in the high school bathrooms in fear of getting a swirlie or something. She would probably be mocked, anyways. No matter what she looked like, taking fast baby steps would look weird.
Mel rolled her eyes again. "Ellioooot, you know what I saaaid. Just cuz I'm a friend that's a girl doesn't mean I'm your girlfriend. I'm a friend that happens to be a girl, silly." But she, and their other friends that were girls, were the closest to a girlfriend that he would get right now. He couldn't help it, though. It wasn't his fault. But he always had a cheesy comment of the day. She had to remind herself to write it down in her notebook containing her quotes of Elliot's cheesy comments. Unluckily for her, she seemed to be the one always getting those comments. Oh, lucky her. "Oh will you?" She inquired, raising an eyebrow. "And where will you find this person, exactly?" Elliot could see the look of surprise on the girls face, and it only caused him to start laughing. His fingers soon slipped though, due to the saliva on her tongue, and her tongue was once again free. Though, his laughter didn’t end there, no, he continued laughing as she began spitting. ”That..was hilarious. You should have seen you’re face.” He told her, in-between his laughter.
A smile appeared on his lips as she turned, hugging him once more and singing that she wouldn’t ditch him. It was definitely good to hear. She was right though, he really doubted he would do anything horrible to her. ”I wouldn’t do anything horrible to you, ever.” Or at least, he would try his best not to. So far, it had worked, they really hadn’t fought yet. It was bound to happen sooner or later though, but he wasn’t going to think about it now. Elliot hardly hurt anyone’s feelings; it was usually him that got hurt. He was just flat out too nice to ever do anything to upset someone on purpose, unless they were being mean to him first and he was standing up for himself. Elliot shrugged his shoulders slightly, ”I don’t know..I really don’t think you could do anything like that, unless you killed my sister. That’s really the only thing I can think of that would make me not like you. Or if you told me that you hated me..but I wouldn’t hate you then, I’d just be super sad.”
Elliot blinked as he felt her patting his head, and then pushing it off her shoulder. Aw, she was moving back over to where she was sitting earlier. Oh well, at least now his legs wouldn’t be dead. They had been starting to fall asleep. Elliot laughed softly as he watched her continue to spit. Man, he could say something really gross and make up stories about how dirty his fingers were, and where they had been this morning. Though, he decided against it.
Well, Mel got mocked anyways, or rather, made fun of by the preps and jocks. They all did. That wasn’t really the point though, now was it? It was true, if Elliot saw her walking like that, he’d more than likely mock her for a week straight about it. Then he would let it drop, and bring it back in story mode weeks later. ”Fine, then don’t survive.” He finally said, folding his arms over his chest, acting completely offended that she didn’t like his idea.
Elliot laughed softly, nodding his head at Mel. ”I know, I know.” Though, Mel and the other girls of the group often fell victim to his cheesy comments. They really were the only girls he could spill them too, and the closest thing he had to ever having a real girlfriend. A small frown appeared on his lips as she called him out, asking where he’d find such a person. He knew he wouldn’t find anyone, so she had caught his bluff completely. ”I don’t know. I guess I’ll just keep them all bundled up inside me from now on.” He finally said, shrugging his shoulders.

Melanthe glared at Elliot as he laughed at her. It was rude. Okay, she did somewhat deserve it. She ignored his threat, and where did it get her? With a mouth tasting nasty and of Elliot...ness. And that just didn't taste all that good. Yeah, Elliot was clean. He wasn't dirty. But other people tasted nasty. Although, that was a good thing. If other people taste good that'd be.....weird. It's be cannibalism, actually, which was just wrong. Extremely wrong. The wrongest of the wrong. "Shut up," she said irritably, her glaring gaze staring at him, level and unwavering.
However, when he said that he wouldn't leave her, a smile crossed her face. Of course, she knew that he wouldn't ever leave her. And she was pretty sure the he knew that she knew that he wouldn't leave her. That was how close they were. It would take something extremely drastic for their friendship to be broken. They were nearly this close by the end of freshman year, and their bond only grew stronger, and it only could grow stronger. There wasn't anything, except killing another close friend, or, in Elliot's case, sister. And the girl was too cute, unless she suddenly got mentally ill, she would never. "Dude, you know I'd never do that....unless my mind got taken over by robots or something..."
Mel grinned at his confused look as she moved off his lap. Well, her legs were starting to fall asleep, anyways...just sitting there as they did. His legs were probably worse, with the pressure of her on them would make them fall asleep quicker than them just sitting there. Well, at least, so far, he didn't tease her too much, and make up stories about where his hand was or something. Normally, he'd probably do that. Although, it seemed, he didn't want to do it. If he did, well, she'd probably get pretty mad at him. She was already somewhat upset with them from that. Even if it was her fault.
Mel rolled her eyes at him. If she did walk like that, he'd mock her, too. She knew that, he knew that. He probably knew that she knew it, too. Everybody probably would've made fun of her if she did that. Even the freshmeat. Heck, they'd probably be extremely weirded out by her, actually. And they'd laugh at her. But they probably wouldn't laugh at her to her face. She doubted that any underclassmen would. Only the upperclassmen, most likely. Well, one freshmeat would; Saralynn. But she didn't think about her, and would continue to do so.
She smiled at him as laughed. Odd, she could easily get away with saying "you know what I meant" but he couldn't. A slight different between them. She would easily tease him about something like that, but he wouldn't. Odd. Anyways, he just accepted it. "Well, that's good. At least you understand the difference." She sighed, moving sideways over towards him to lean on his shoulder. They only had a few more minutes, which really sucked. "Today is going to be hell, Elliot," she mumbled to him. "And okay, you do that." [/blockquote]

Elliot’s laugh immediately stopped as she threw a glare at him. It wasn’t like her to glare at him, so when she did, he knew it meant to stop whatever he was doing. In this case, he had to stop laughing and giving her a hard time about not heading his threat. His smile dropped as she told him to shut up. Quickly, his gaze turned away from the female, focusing on the ground as he muttered a small and quiet word. ”Sorry.”
A small laugh escaped Elliot as she said she would never kill Allie unless robots took over her mind. ”Well. I’ll have to keep you away from all robots then.” As if there were any robots in existence anyways. That just made Elliot think about all the horror robot movies where robots were evil and took over the world by violence. Ew.
”I’d feel bad for you if I didn’t understand the difference between a girlfriend and a friend that’s a girl.” Elliot said, laughing softly. Well, if he didn’t, then he’d be in a load of trouble. No doubt that most girls would avoid him so that he wouldn’t think they were dating. That would be horrible, and half his friends wouldn’t be friends with him anymore. Including his best friend, Mel. That was a pretty sad thought, too. Elliot smiled at Mel as she leaned against his shoulder. He was going to enjoy these few last minutes as much as possible! ”You’ll get through it, just like every other day.” Elliot answered, nodding his head afterwards. ”I’ll try.” Was the males finally answer, before he fell silent.

It wasn't often that Melanthe glared at Elliot. Not seriously, anyways. Sure, she sometimes gave him a playful glare, but not one that completely said shut up in the way hers did just then. That glare only came around when she was in a really bad mood, and just was generally annoyed. And then when Elliot did something kind of stupid when she wasn't in the best mood. Sure, she'd been all good before, but today had already started out kind of bad, and his laughing at her, even for her mistake, just made her really annoyed. Her eyes relaxed and she sighed. "Darn it Elliot. Shut up. It was my fault." She said, looking up at the sky dotted with clouds. She hated being even just the tiniest bit mad at him. He was her best friend, she couldn't ever be really mad at him. He was just too lovable for that.
Mel grinned. "Okay then. But what if they have already made a place in my mind, but they haven't yet taken over?" She inquired with a grin. The possibility was nearly impossible, even the probability of robots taking over her mind was impossible. There was no known robots as of yet, not including the cartoon or general made-up ones. At least, none that she knew of. Unless the government of some country made one and didn't tell anybody, no robots were currently in existence. But it was the idea that counted.
"Heck, I'd feel bad for anybody if you didn't. None would be safe from your non-understanding mind. " She responded with a laugh. She probably would be very far from him should he not understand that difference. Which would make things a lot different between them. They wouldn't be as close as they were today, no matter how similar they were. It was weird even thinking about it. She couldn't imagine what it would be like to be without him by her side. That was just extremely weird to think about. So, she shook her head to get that idea out of her mind. It was a horrid idea.
Although not the most comfortable thing in the world, leaning on Elliot's shoulder was peaceful. It was something she often did, just when she didn't have anything else to say or do, and was generally bored. She sighed again before Elliot spoke. "I know," she mumbled, and then grinning at his saying that he would try. It was saddening, the bell was about to ring. And still, none of their other friends had appeared. Oh well, that didn't matter so much. As long as Elliot was there, she was fine. [/blockquote]

There was no doubt in Elliot’s mind at that moment that he had made Mel mad at him. It was a rare thing, and frankly, he didn’t like it one bit. It pretty much scared Elliot, which resulted in him quickly going silent whenever she did. Another reason for that was so he didn’t say anything else to upset the girl further. Well, aside from apologizing for whatever he did wrong, which normally made her more irritated. There she went again, telling him to shut up, so he did exactly that. Elliot began picking at the grass beside him, remaining quiet so he didn’t further upset Mel.
Elliot frowned at the comment she made, thinking about it for a moment. What would he do if she suddenly got taken over by robots? More than likely, he would beg these said robots to find someone elses brain to invade, and leave his Mel alone. That probably wouldn’t work very well though. Especially if they were evil take over the world kind of robots. The very thought of his Mel taking over the world while being brain washed really scared him. ”I would beg them to go invade someone elses mind once they took your mind over.” He answered truthfully, grinning at the girl. It was such an Elliot kind of answer too.
More laughter escaped the male as she replied to his statement about understanding. ”Nope. Nobody would. I’d get avoided like I had lice or something. Permanent lice.” Oh gross, really. Lice was nasty, but it wasn’t permanent, thank god. He could remember back in middle school getting checked for it lice almost every month. There was always those little hoodlum kids that had it and spreaded it to everyone else. Luckily, he never ended up with it. Elliot knew a lot of the girls back in middle school ended up with it though. Such good times, really.
Elliot was on the verge of checking his phone again to see how much longer they had, when he heard the oh so familiar ring of the school bell. It was the bell that would rule their lives for the next few hours, telling them when to go where and what not. A sigh escaped Elliot, but he didn’t move just yet. He had to wait for Mel to get up since she was leaning on him. ”Come on sillyhead, time to go to class.”

Melanthe decided, in that moment, that she hated being mad at him. She actually felt like breaking down and crying at that moment. Begging him to forgive her for her being mad at him. But she couldn't do that. One, it would make her look like a complete fool. Two, it would totally ruin her makeup if she did so. And she probably wouldn't have the time to re-apply it in the bathrooms. Especially not with all the queen bees and their posses hanging around in there, taking up all the mirrors. And she couldn't very well go to class with eyeliner and mascara streaking down her face. Not cool. So, instead, she hugged him. "It ain't your fault, so don't apologize," she told him as she sat back down.
It would be odd indeed to have robots take over her mind. So odd, in fact, that she couldn't even imagine that fact. She wouldn't be herself one bit. And she wouldn't be able to work on eatable things that were currently uneatable, like paint and metal. But, that had nothing to do with it. She wouldn't be able to do the things she wanted to do, like to be in a band. That was one of her many goals. She also wanted to be a known artist and writer. Writer of what, she was still working on that part. She could write some lyrics, but not as well. "I certainly hope you succeed, though. I don't want to be taken over by robots." She replied with a grin. It was a predictable answer of him, though, but she couldn't help but grin.
Mel couldn't help but shiver at what he said. Lice were absolutely nasty. Kids came to school with lice and just had to give it to everybody. She herself hadn't gotten it, but her sister did, which led to having to have her stuff eradicated as well, just because they were siblings. And for some reason, her parents thought that just because they were sisters, they shared everything. Which was totally not true, not in the least. She remembered having to get checked for it all the time, which wasn't fun. She knew alot of her friends had also gotten it, but lice just seemed to avoid her, oddly enough. Apparently, her hair wasn't a good nest. Then again, it was always dyed different colors. That could be part of it. Who knew?
A groan issued from Mel's lips as the loud, annoying bell rung across the courtyard. A similar groan issued from some other people as they got up to go to class. Looking back at Elliot, she pouted, and clung to his arm. "But I don't want to go to class.." she whined, grabbing her bag. She knew she had to go to class. Luckily for her, her class was just outside the courtyard, and she still had..what? Three minutes? But still, it would be better to be there than be late. She stood up, but still clung to Elliot's arm, having pulled him up with her...somewhat. [/blockquote]

Well, Elliot was getting a nice little pile of grass going as he picked at it. It was always slightly awkward when you were near someone and they were mad at you. Naturally, he just wanted to say sorry and apologize again, but he couldn’t. It made him really sad when Mel got mad at him, and he didn’t like it one bit. Especially if it was over something so silly. Suddenly Elliot’s thoughts were interrupted as he felt arms wrapping around him, Mel was hugging him. A smile reappeared on his lips as he nodded his head. ”Okay.” Naturally, he still thought it was his fault, but he decided to just drop it.
The thought of being controlled by robots was definitely a weird and unpleasant one. If his mind was taken over, he’d be really sad. Then who would take care of his sister? Of course, he had dreams as well that he had wanted to fulfill one day, but he had long given up on them because of his sister. He wouldn’t be able to get into singing or be in a band or anything because of her. Not until she was old enough to take care of herself, of something changed the way they were living right now. Now if Mel’s mind was taken over, he’d be double sad because then he wouldn’t have his best friend anymore. Elliot really had no idea what he would do without the girl. ”Oh, I shall succeed. And you can be in your mind watching and cheering me on the entire time!” He finally answered, laughing softly.
Lice really were disgusting. Elliot was not looking foreword to the days when Allie got into middle school, where it seemed lice was the most..abundant. Why, he wouldn’t really know. Maybe because it was the age when kids were still rolling in dirt and didn’t take showers? Elliot could only hope the poor little sister of his didn’t get lice. He wasn’t even sure if he would still be around when she got to be that age, but more than likely he would be.
A smirk appeared on Elliots lips as she groaned when the bell went off. It was to be expected, and there was a chain reaction as people nearby all groaned after her. Elliot laughed softly as she clung to his arm, whining like a little 5 year old. The brunette was half dragged to his feet as the girl stood, still latched onto his arm. They didn’t have their first class together, unfortunately, and his was..off yonder on the other side of the school. Oh well. ”Comeee on. If I could bribe you, I totally would, but I don’t have anything to bribe you with..” Too bad. Elliot picked up his backpack, grinning at Mel.

Melanthe fell to an uncomfortable silence. She couldn't think of anything to say to him to make things all better. They were both quite uncomfortable with the situation. Sure, this wouldn't, in other people's minds, be called a fight. But, for the two of them, it was. They never fought in any way. They never got mad at each other. Never. It just didn't happen. Most people think that it was odd for their friendship to not have any bumps at all, but theirs didn't. Not usually. Okay, sometimes they might get slightly annoyed, just because they had a bad day, or something. But never mad. And she hated it. She hated it so much. She hated being mad at Elliot, she didn't hate what he did to her, she didn't hate anything about him, but she did hate being mad at him. She knew that he probably thought it was all his fault, but it most definitely wasn't. She was the one who provoked him, who disregarded his threat. Not him. She just nodded at his one word.
Robots were completely unexistant, she knew. But she also knew that all of this was completely made up. There was nothing in their conversation that was remotely possible, besides the fact that their friendship was so strong. But it was still so much fun to talk about it. She didn't want any of her friends minds taken over by robots. Should such a thing happen, she'd do her best to stop it. She'd probably sacrifice herself to save her friends. Okay, maybe not. But for Elliot, in any case. He had to take care of his little sister. She most definitely didn't have to take care of anybody. Thank goodness. She'd die if she had to take care of her own sister. "Mkaaay...that sounds like a good plan," she told him with a grin.
She hated school. Well..hate was a strong word. But she disliked school..a lot. The only good thing about school that she liked was the fact she got to talk with her friends. That was seriously the only good thing. Well, besides being able to do her art and stuff. Although, she really could, and did, do art outside of school. But she learned things in her art class that she didn't know. And that much was good. Really good. Not many people liked school at all, not even their classes. Most people only continued to go to school because they needed it for their careers, or just came to see their friends. Of course, the only people that could legally drop out would be in the senior class, unless they failed grades. It was no surprise when a chorus of groans echoed across the courtyard. Of course, it included her. It probably would've included Elliot if he hadn't grinned when she groaned, with the chorus following her. Mel wished that she had her first period with Elliot, but, of course, she didn't. Sadly enough. She also knew that his class was further away than hers, and he had to set off to get to it in a second. "You only think you could bribe me," she retorted with a grin, followed shortly by a sigh. "Fine, fine. I'll go to claaass.." she mumbled, shoving her bag on her shoulder. She wrapped her arms around his waist and squeezed him in a hug. "See ya later, if I don't die from sheer boredom, kay?" [/blockquote] {{sorry for the shortneeesss...=[[ }}

Well, Elliot was sure that he could bribe Mel, if he tried hard enough. There wasn’t a point to arguing it though, so he didn’t bother. Instead he simply grinned at her, shaking his head. He slipped his backpack on over one shoulder, looking around at all the people walking out of the courtyard to go to class. Hopefully he wasn’t late to class, well actually, it wouldn’t matter anyways. The teacher didn’t care, and neither did a lot of the teachers. Though he couldn’t risk getting an after school detention. Elliot reached up, patting Mel on the head softly. ”Good.” He said after she told him she would go to class.
Elliot smiled, returning the hug before releasing the girl. ”Alright. Don’t have too much fun without me.” He told her, even though she just said she would obviously be bored in class. Then he turned and disappeared into the mass of people heading into the hallways to get to class.
I win for shortness! =]

Well, perhaps it was a lie that she couldn't be bribed. It just depended on what the item was that he would be bribing her with. It all just depended. If he were to attempt to bribe her with broccoli or something, she most definitely would not come. She didn't like brocolli all that much. Chocolate, maybe. Something that she absolutely loved, yes. Hello Kitty? Definitely yes. Hello Kitty was awesome, so if he was to bribe her with a Hello Kitty item, she definitely would've come. There was no doubt about that.
She rolled her eyes as he patted her head, saying that it was a good thing that she was going to class. Ugh. Boring, boring class. She grinned as he returned her hug, with one of his great, awesome hugs. The kind that made you feel good that he liked you so much to sqeeze you nearly to death. " I'll attempt not to have too much fun," she promised with a grin. She watched as he left for his first period class, then went inside to hers.
