each year, millions of tourists flock to denver. this mile-high city has countless culturally diverse attractions to offer. restaurants, shopping, theme parks, and the rocky mountains, to name just a few. to the outsider, the city appears to be the perfect place to live and thrive. but it's a different story for those who know better.
for the actual residents of denver, life is the way it is in any other big city. there's the constant pressure to be bold, beautiful, and glamorous. money travels well in this city. for those who don't have any to spare, life can be pretty tough.
the beautiful
for the beautiful, life is easy. money rolls in by the millions, only to be spent away. when living in a high-rise apartment, the city can look pretty sweet. each night is filled with parties at the poshest clubs, and in the sickest penthouses. scandal lurks around every corner. secrets are whispered in every alcove. they're privileged, they're spoiled, they're snotty. they're beautiful. and nothing's gonna get in their way.
the damned
on the flipside, life in denver sucks balls. in the slums and trailer parks, some people barely survive. they scrape together just enough money to live on. their minds are invaded by the constant jealousy of the rich they see around them. it seems like every way they turn is a dead-end. there's nothing to look forward to. and they're sick and tired of being looked down upon by the beautiful people of denver. those snotty looks and 'accidental' shoves get old and degrading. when will things start looking up?
