The skies were darkening, the streetlights coming on. Most of the patrons at the Hyatt were retiring to the dining room or to their rooms for a private dinner. And Natalia was stuck in the lobby, waiting for someone who probably would never arrive, or so it seemed. Gazing through the decorative windows at the front and standing with an irritable expression on her face, Natalia was given a wide berth by most people at the hotel. It was understandable, but it just fueled Natalia's already bad mood. People really annoyed her sometimes.
Like the man she was supposed to be waiting for. Natalia's father had sent her to wait at the hotel for one of his business partners. Unfortunately, his plane had been delayed, and she'd been at the Hyatt for nearly three hours. General testiness and boredom were really starting to get to her at this point. Of course, there wasn't anyone there to alleviate those feelings either. Most of her old Lording's friends had deserted her after the school switch and she had few at Lucy Madison. No one to call, no one to talk to. Especially not at this hotel. No one here would give her a second glance, except when asking about her father. Her stupid, arrogant father.
Even more irritable now - verging on an angry outburst, actually - Natalia glared at a few of the nearby patrons then abrubtly spun on her heel and stalked out the door of the hotel. There was no need for her to stay. It wasn't like the guy she was supposed to wait for would care. Only her father would, and Natalia was willing to risk his wrath at this point. Or would she?
The redhead stopped and sat down on the stairs up to the hotel. No, she'd wait. Natalia didn't want to deal with her father's anger, even if she was willing to risk it. Too bad no one ever came by here except guests. Maybe she'd get lucky and someone she knew would happen to wander by. That required waiting some more, but after these hours, she was getting pretty good at waiting.
Temper cooling, Natalia sat back some more on the steps, making herself comfortable. She needed to be able to spot people coming in. While she might be annoying the bellhops, this was as good a place as any. People could see her, and she could see them. All in all, a good plan, in her opinion. As long as it worked out, that is...

”Come on, Allie. We need to get home, so I can make you some dinner.” The young male whined, hazel eyes watching the young girl run away once more. Today, Elliot had taken his little sister to the mall and bought her a few things. Some candy, a new pair of shoes, and a new Barbie. Walking around the huge mall all day had taken a toll on Elliot, especially chasing after the little five year old girl non-stop. She just had way too much energy sometimes. It was getting harder and harder to keep up with the spunky little girl, and once or twice he had actually lost her until she reappeared, sticking her tongue out at him before taking off..again.
Right now was no different, and Allie had decided she wanted to go see the ‘big house’ where everyone stayed. The Hyatt, aka one of the nicest hotels every created. Elliot groaned as the girl managed to stay just five feet in front of him, giggling as she ran away from her older brother. The girl, dressed in a pair of skinny jeans, pink converse, and a pink tank top continued to run, reaching the steps outside of the hotel and pausing for a moment. As soon as she saw how close her brother was, she let out a scream, and then giggled as she ran up the steps. “Hiya pretty lady!” She shouted as she ran up the steps, waving to Natalia.
”Allie! I told you n—“ Elliot shouted as he reached the bottom of the steps, the little girl cutting him off before he could finish. ”Yeah yeah, don’t talks to strangers! But she’s purty!” She shouted back at him before opening the door and running in. Elliot groaned and sat down on the steps, trying to catch his breath as he brushed his bangs out of his face. ”Three..two..one..” The boy muttered, and right on que the girl ran back out and pouted at her brother. ”You didn’t chase me, Elliot!” She whined, before wandering over and sitting down on her brothers’ lap. Elliot let out a small groan, wrapping his arms around the young girl and resting his head on her shoulder.

Smiling at the doorman as she entered, Aureilia Black walked into the brightly lit reception of the Hyatt hotel. She didn't know why of all places that her brother Logan had asked to meet her here, but she had to admit that the hotel certainly looked grand. Aureilia passed by a petite redheaded girl as she made her way to the sitting area, she was significantly shorter than the six foot senior. The girl looked ticked off by something, and by the way she was pacing around, Aureilia assummed that she was waiting for someone.
Rei sat down on one of the plushy seatees and smoothed out the creases on her pencil skirt. There was classical music playing in the background, the kind Aureilia loved. She reached into her purse to fish out a new issue of Italian Vogue that she had bought on her way to the Hyatt. She only started reading about the newest designer shoe trends when she heard a girl's laughter in the distance Aureilia lowered the magazine a little irritated by the sudden interruption. She glanced behind her at the front entrance to see a young . Her heart softened slightly, her agitated expression faltered and she almost smiled. She watched silently as a young girl entered the gilded lobby, running across the tiled floor. She was followed by a male who looked around Aureilia's age. The way they chased eachother playfully reminded Rei of when Logan and her were just kids. But things have changed since then, children grow up and learn of more important things. Aureilia hated to admit it but she was beginning to miss her childhood years. She glanced at her wristwatch to divert her thoughts onto something less depressing, Logan was 5 minutes late. Rei was beginning to identify with the redheaded girl's impatience, she sighed heavily as she crossed her arms and legs, glaring at a rather odd picture of a man and woman on the wall opposite from her.
