'Things are Shaping Up to Be Pretty Odd;
About The Character
Name:
Nicknames: Goes only by Jordan unless with his family
Age: 18
Birthdate: January 13
Gender: Male
School Year: Senior
School: Lording Academy
Sexual Orientation: Straight
'What You Do on Your Own Time's Just Fine;
Likes: Music, designing, sketching, photography, pretty girls, coffee, listening to people, speaking out, playing piano, late nights, scarves, accessories, reading, having an opinion, talking on the phone, talking in general, sketching on napkins or paper when he's out, taking photos of people, driving, collecting shells
Dislikes: Immaturity, drama, fake people, people who don't know how to have fun/take a joke, people with no sense of fashion or style, liars, leather, being woken up in the morning, stupidity, lack of common sense, hardcore athletes, drug addicts, absurd behavior from his peers, overzealous people
Hobbies: Photography and music, mostly the piano. His forte is in the artistic side, from drawing to fashion design and architecture.
Habits: Due to a tendency to jump to conclusions quickly, Jordan sometimes has a habit of forming an opinion of someone almost right off the bat and holding on to that first impression for quite sometime, even if it is not always correct. He tends to procrastinate even though he is pretty diligent with all his wok, and his laid-back nature sometimes also results in his lateness to react or be somewhere, etc. Even though he's sweet and masks his feelings fairly well, he's a little paranoid when it comes to commitment, since he fears the other person losing interest in him and that he may not be good enough.
Goals: To use his multi-talented skills in any aspect of art - mostly either as a designer in fashion or architecture.
Fears: Being used, being absolutely hurt, breaking a bone, needles, extreme heights
General Personality: Jordan is an all-around nice guy with some twists here and there, but overall he is constantly very mellow and calm. Easy-going in just about everything he does, he is also very friendly with both people he knows and those he does not know. He enjoys simple things and indulges heavily in music, designing, photography, and anything else to do with the arts, all the time - it's basically a natural thing, and he tends to relate everything to a song or an album. He knows when to have fun and be funny, and he also knows when to be serious.
He can sometimes be misleading with his charm, and he has a habit of letting his emotions get the best of him. He tends to overanalyze situations a lot - pity does not settle well within Jordan's thoughts, and he hates when people try to get him to talk to them and open up when he's unwilling to. But though he tries, eventually he'll warm up to those special people, his true friends. He's kind of one of those guys that you don't quite get when you first meet them, and at some points, you really wonder if you'll ever understand him. He isn't like other people - he really values his friends and family, as well as the support of all his peers and others.
He can't stand excessive stupidity and ditziness like most of the school's athletes and their cheerleader posses. Which is the reason why he's at Lording - while he's extremely artistically gifted, he's also very smart. Behind the crazy sarcasm there is a part that will be there for his best friends no matter what. He might be a bit wacky by first impression, but his second and third will have you falling hard - especially if you're a girl. He can be charming, and he cracks a lot of jokes to break awkwardness if he has to - but while he's in school he usually keeps quiet and to himself. He also has a weakness for girls - pretty, artsy, and intelligent ones.
'You Are My Heroine;
Looks Like: Paul Griffiths
Appearance: Standing at 5'11 and weighing around 124 lbs, Jordan's body frame is slim but fit, and though he is lanky, he is a nimble and quick person - not athletic, just strangely thin. He carries himself with dignity, making him look even taller. His face is a nice shape and his bone structure is very noticeable, causing people to tell him that he should have been a male model or something of the sort. With his eyes being a deep shade of brown, they virtually penetrate the shells of those he gazes at. A strange and playful smile/smirk graces his lips, mysteriously inviting to those who he talks to.
His hair color is black to the point of consideration to it being artificially dyed, but depending on how he feels he changes it from time to time. The length is long and falls into his eyes - these are some of the features that attract most girls to him, but it also sometimes results in others mistakening him for a girl. He sometimes wears glasses, and the expression on his face usually is one of carelessness.
Clothing Style: His clothes are simple and have a slightly vintage effect to them, usually consistiing of normal and plain t-shirts or button-down shirts, paired with tight dark jeans along with his dark slip-ons. Usually, you'll also see him sporting a shirt or some other article of clothing of his design and creation. Oh, and don't forget the accessories - he loves accessories, such as hats (these being his favorite accent to his wardrobe) or sunglasses and string bracelets and other crazy little things too.
'The Hours That Were Left Behind;
Family: Geoff Ainsworth (father); Charlotte Ainsworth (mother, nee Lawson)
History: The only child of Geoff(rey) and Charlotte Ainsworth, Jordan was a welcome blessing to the couple. Geoff was from a wealthy family in England, and his passion for art, history and furthering intelligence led him to breeze through his schooling and eventually he started university in London. It was there that he met Charlotte Lawson, a fellow student with mesmerizing brown eyes and pretty long and dark hair who was majoring in art and fashion design. She was studying abroad and originally from Arlington, Virginia. They instantly hit it off.
Upon graduation from St. Robert's College, the two were engaged and soon married, and they both happily set up their lives and careers together, Charlotte being a freelance designer and Geoff as a prominent history professor at a nearby private college. When they were both in their late twenties - he was 29, she was 27 - Charlotte had a day of overwhelming news. She found out she was pregnant on the same day that she found out that she was going to have her own show during London's Fashion Week. It was basically the best of both worlds for the family she desired and the dream she wanted to achieve.
And so 9 months later, James Ainsworth was born on January 13th in London, England during the most hectic time for his parents - Fashion Week when his mother was preparing his collections for her line, Couture Veilleux, and while his father was being elevated to dean of admissions. Nonetheless, they were overjoyed at his arrival, having been brought a warm distraction from their everyday busy lives. From then, Jordan was raised in London, with summers in France.
Bright from the start, all of his teachers had seen the talent in him, as he was quick to learn just about everything that he was taught. Aside from his intelligence, he was popular in his own way, maybe because he was so nice and dilligent. His parents saw so much promise in him, saw their passions and ethic passed on and being reflected in their son. As he grew up to be older and taller, he started using his middle name - Jordan - to substitute for his real name, thinking it to be too formal for comfort. He gained more friends, mostly girls who had tried to come after him for either romantic interest or help with homework. Getting good grades and basically being a sponge when it came to new knowledge and information earned him merits and placement in special programs - but it was his artistic talent that took him further than anything else could have.
It was when he was about to start university at 16 that his parents decided to move to Roanoke Valley, back to where his mother's family was originally from, in order to help them all pursue new goals and success. Jordan had no complaints, really - the transition was rather easy for him, since he was really comfortable with himself and could just talk his way through whatever it was that he needed to do or wherever he needed to go. The other reason for moving, or at least in his case, was that Charlotte wanted him to attend Lording for his excellent academic achievements and his art study - the school that she had gone to and reveled in its prestige back in her day. With a shrug and a smile that could hide any sort of discontent he could feel, he began attending the school.
The same things happened - teachers praised him in addition to acknowledging his relation to Charlotte Lawson, and girls still oggled him for whatever reason, mostly because they thought he was a good-looking English boy - but he observed from the start there was more of a set hierarchy of social society here than there was back in Europe. If he tried, he could have easily made his way up the social ladder. Frankly, he didn't really care about it - he would socialize here and there but he was not part of a single group. Rather, his focus was on himself and his driven goals, and so Jordan remained outside of the crazy antics that the obsessors of the social butterfly and their gossiping followers made for themselves on a daily basis. No part of the cliche student life appealed to him at all, so he only works himself until his muses disappear in order to gain himself the best notice and education to further his artistic and creative career.

School was such a drag nowadays - there was no point to it anymore. Which is why, for the third time this week but with a different class, Adrian was skipping. Being a senior, it didn't really matter anymore to him, most of his classes were bullshit and he would ace everything in terms of papers and tests anyway without even being there, so he wasn't worried. Besides, it was a nice cool autumn day, and he wouldn't waste it being inside in a stuffy room with people that he didn't feel like talking to.[/blockquote]
Making his way out to the back of the school, he casually strolled down the hallways and avoided anyone that would tell him that he couldn't go outside that way. Pushing through the double doors, he looked around as he put his aviators on. The sun was blinding but it felt nice on his face and his arms, and he scanned the back area for people of interest. Walking by a few acquaintances and people he knew just by a name-basis, he got acknowledged and he in turn acknowledged them back as he continued on down the sidewalk. Nope, no one fun or interesting that he knew - what a downer.
Keeping his AP calculus textbook wedged between his left arm and his side, he slipped his hand into his pockets, giving him an even more casual look of seniority. He continued walking a bit, and then out of his long-range vision spotted someone that was familiar - Harper, the little sister of his ex-girlfriend (whom he still sometimes sort of saw on occasion). He forgot that she was a freshman this year, that she would be in this school along with them - and now he was curious as to why she was here, in the back.
Walking up to her but not really - he just pretended he didn't really see her, and settled to lean against the same wall but maybe three feet away - he dropped his notebook and his calc book loudly to the ground and putting one foot against the wall as he leaned against it. Both his hands buried themselves into the pockets of his jacket, and momentarily his right hand emerged with a cigarette and a lighter. It was such a bad habit lately, after that party - but he was going to stop it soon. Lighting up, he took a pull and held it in, exhaling a wave of smoke before turning his head to look down at the girl near him.
"Well, well, well - Miss Harper," he mused, and she probably would recognize him from his voice, or the way he said her name - plus, she'd probably get mad or annoyed to boot, if she thought he was going to tell Willa.
