General Personality:
Elijah is pretty friendly, overall. He is somewhat silent and reserved towards strangers, and might be considered somewhat shy, but he doesn't think so. He is quite talkative around his friends. Although, he does sometimes just randomly talk to a stranger, well, at least if they are there alone and seem interested in something that he does or is doing. Like, if there's some girl listening to his music, he'd probably start talking to her, out of nowhere.
Other than that, he is really friendly. He likes to talk to whoever will hear it, as long as he knows them, or, as stated before, they show interest of something about him. He mostly talks about music or writing, but also does talk about art, as he is a decent artist. Not the best, no, but pretty good. But music is something he absolutely loves, and will often talk a long time about it. He can sing, and even play bass guitar, as well as the regular one. But he likes the bass better.
Concering the Lucy Madison kids, Eli hates them. He believes the prejudice against them, and believes them all to be sleepers, druggies, or alcoholics that can't do anything. He believes this deeply, and tends to avoid the Lucy Madison kids at all costs. He is pretty good at deciphering on what kid goes to what school, just by analyzing them. To him, Lording's kids have a sense of duty, and of importance and talent around them. Something that Lucy Madison kids don't have. And, believe it or not, he hasn't been wrong yet, actually.
Elijah can be rude when he wants to, which is good because of the fact he hates the Lucy Madison kids. He can be rude, and quite demoralizing, really. He also acts as such to jerks and posers. The ones that are just plain out wrong people. They aren't nice, and if they are, it's fake. He hates those people, and ignore them usually. But if faced with a confrontation with them, he is just as rude and mean as to the Lucy Madison kids. That is usually the extent of his anger, just sort of simmering, and he's only rude.
'You Are My Heroine;
Looks Like: William Beckett
Appearance: Elijah could be one that you might mistake for a girl from behind. His unkempt brown hair falls to his narrow shoulders, and his narrow hips don't help the fact. He is, however, far from a girl. His face is somewhat small, perhaps, but that just could be the illusion made by his hair. His brown eyes are often calculating, and never miss a thing. His upper lip is thin, and his lower is slightly fuller than the upper. His nose is not of much interest to others, but it is of a generally average size, not being big, nor small. However, it is a bit smaller than what one may call "average" size for a nose.
Elijah is not athletic. Nor is he extremely muscular. Of course, he does have a bit of muscle, but he is not ripped, nor does he wish to be. His build could be called girlish, as he is slender and pretty tall, in general. For a guy, his height could be considered average, though. He has a fast metabolism, which is the reason for his slim waist, helped by his narrow hips. He does have somewhat narrow shoulders, but they do seem a bit large in proportion to the rest of his body. His legs and arms seem a bit too slender for a guy, but they fit him in his body type. His hair is longer than usual for a boy. Well, perhaps not so much in this age, but it is still longer than most, but shorter than others with long hair. It has a slight curl to it, which seems quite curly, but he has no reason to want to straighten it. However, it is not curly enough to really call it "curly."
Clothing Style: Eli doesn't really have a particular clothing style. He generally wears whatever works, but he is usually found in tight jeans and band tees. If he isn't wearing a band tee, it's usually some other tight, short-sleeved shirt. On occasion, he'll be find not wearing a short-sleeved shirt, but it's usually either a flannel that is rolled to above his elbows, or another tight shirt, probably his light gray and black striped one, also with sleeves rolled to right above his elbows. But no matter what, unless it's the flannel, the shirt is probably tight.
His jeans are almost ALWAYS tight. Him without tight jeans on is usually really weird. Sure, they may be called girl jeans, but they are comfortable to him, more comfortable than jeans that are loose on his long legs. Sometimes, for luck, there will be a bandana wrapped around the bottom of his jeans, and oftentimes, his jeans are ripped at the knees. As for shoes, he'll wear whatever is most comfortable. He has been seen wearing many different types of shoes, but he doesn't really have a favorite. When outside, you could usually find him barefoot, though.

History:Christina and Thomas met on Thomas's trip to Roanoke, Virginia. He was there on a business trip, and met the bartending beauty that was Christina. They flirted a bit, and more, before Thomas left again. Of course, he wasn't expecting the call two months later from her, saying that she was pregnant. Lovely, wasn't it? Being the gentleman Thomas was, he flew back to Roanoke and proposed to her. It was a brash decision, yes, but he wanted to seem respectable, of course. The marriage was quick, as they didn't want to wait for her pregnancy to show, nor have others suspect things...
William Matthews was born on April 22nd, a bouncy baby boy. Nobody suspected anything about him, which was good. Thomas wasn't home often, anymore, doing his business as a journalist, now on the staff of the Richmond Times-Dispatch, which was a bit away, Christina admitted. Several years later, Christina found herself pregnant again, this time with little Elijah Matthews, on June 6th. Elijah wasn't very close with his older brother, though, even if he was only four years older. Then, surprisingly, came a third child, who was 9 years younger than Elijah. It was a surprise to them all, for Thomas was home less and less often, but nobody suspected anything too strange.
Most people think that the middle child is ignored, but it wasn't true with him. He wasn't ignored, being the youngest for nine whole years. By the time that little Gabriella came around, Elijah could take care of himself quite well. Gabriella was spoiled, yes, and even William to some extent, but not too much that Elijah felt left out. Afterall, he could sing quite well, something that, so far, no one else in his family had shown the ability to do.
Elijah showed musical promise as a young child, when he started to listen to music. He loved music, and had tons of CDs and even records to listen to. He sung along to them, which was when his family discovered his exceptional voice. He oftentimes was praised over it, when performing in the odd recital in elementary school, and several times went to choral competitions, oftentimes winning them. Of course, it was at the age that he did not fully understand that he had such a lovely voice, so it wasn't clear to him until later. He has since learned of it, and does love singing.
When Elijah was 12, he fell more into music, and wanted to play an instrument. He learned to play piano, as most kids did. But he didn't enjoy it. He found piano boring. He had found his desire to be in a band early, and didn't think bands wanted a piano player, so he demanded to learn guitar. He did so, and enjoyed it greatly. After that, he wanted to learn the bass guitar, too. So, he got lessons in the bass guitar as well. He found he liked the bass guitar better, and usually plays it, instead of the regular guitar. He has a large collection of tabs from his favorite bands, but has only gotten around to playing a few of them.
Elijah is generally a good student. He doesn't excel at his studies, nor does he fail at them. He usually gets Bs, with the occasional A or C here and there. Although, the As are usually for his choir classes, and Cs being in history. He doesn't particularly like school, but he realizes that it is necessary, and good for any future careers that he may choose, besides music. He is dedicated to music, and has a dream of starting a band, or, at least, being in one. He loves to sing, as well as play the guitar and bass.

Elijah sighed lightly. He really hadn't such a good day before. He had classes, most of them boring. Even in his music class it was boring. Today, anyways. Most everything had been lectures. Boring old lectures, something that nobody in their right minds liked. Lectures were always boring, and he had several of them today, as luck would have it. Not fun at all. But now, in the comfort of the music room, sitting at his keyboard, he was happy. He disliked being unhappy. He disliked anybody being unhappy. He always had to try to make people, even those he didn't know, happy. Just because he disliked the whole unhappy thing.
But at least he was happy now. He had his music, and he even had an audience. A one person audience, but one nonetheless. She seemed to be interested in music, so it was all good. She was pretty, as well, not to mention to be friendly and fun. Someone similar to himself in personality. That was especially good. Heck, they already got on well enough, even though they had just met. At her easy smile, in response to his own, he couldn't help but continue to smile. Of course, he was usually all-smiles, anyways. But still, they were both all-smiles, and he was fine with it. He didn't care if it was kind of weird, or if she thought him crazy. He was glad that they both liked the outdoors, though. That meant that he might find her sometime outside.
Eli grinned at her words. "Yeah, that's possible. Hey, it'd be pretty cool if that was true. A talent that came from nowhere. Then again, all talent just came from pretty much nowhere, so it wouldn't be surprising if some talents came from nowhere as well." It wasn't true that talents came from nowhere, though. Talents came from God, although he wasn't sure if he should say that. Maybe it would hurt their friendship, something he didn't want, after it was so new. But he still said it. "Well, talents come from God, really. But some go through family lines as well, like in you." He hoped that she wasn't atheist or a satanist or something, and from then on hated him, or something. He wouldn't like that, that was for sure.
Eli noticed that unlike some people, she made eye contact. Most people just stared at another person's nose or forehead or shoulders or something and called it eye contact. That wasn't eye contact. It was when you looked straight into another's eyes. Although, sometimes it could be unnerving. But Eli liked people that made eye contact. It usually meant that they were confidant about something, and that they didn't mind eye contact. Some people did mind, and avoided it. Eli wasn't one of those people. He returned her gaze, his being just as strong and unwavering as hers. "Ah, well, that's good. You should always wait a couple of years before becoming a clown. At least until you are sure you fail at everything and have no choice. Or just want to be. Personally, I would only become a clown if I failed at everything there is for me to fail at. Which, not to sound conceited, I highly doubt would happen." That was his belief, anyways. He hated clowns, and found them absolutely stupid. He always had, even as a kid when he went to the circus.
Eli nodded. "Well, with musical training from middle school in singing and piano playing, I get a lot of sheet music stuck in my head. I really do know a lot of songs. With that middle school, which had a really good musical program, I learned a lot of songs, and then the two years here, with one of the best musical programs. Besides, we have to nail a song in two days minimum, five days max. No joke. Makes room for plenty of music. And then it stays, with perhaps only forgetting a few notes," he explained to her. It was rigorous, really. One of the hardest things he had ever done musically. But it was worth it, he knew.
Elijah smiled, a sweet smile, a pleasant one. "Yeah, I can play that. It's a lovely song. From my favorite movie, too." It was true. He had always loved The Lion King. According to his mother and father, he had wanted to watch it every day as a child. And he had memorized all the songs, something that he knew he did. And he still loved the movie, too. He racked his brain, searching for the virtual sheet music stored in his brain. Of course, he didn't really see it, but he remembered it, as long as he could get the first few notes of it.
He placed his long, slender fingers on the ivory keys. He began to play, the sound pouring from the speakers a lovely melody, the notes flowing together like a liquid, forming a lovely song. After he went over the beginning few notes, he chimed in with the lyrics, his voice creating a lovely harmony with the keyboard's notes made by his fingers moving gracefully over the keys. "Can you feel the love tonight?" He sang sweetly, his voice lovely, and perhaps even mesmerizing, as she had said earlier. He ran through the beginning lyrics, finishing Simba's lyrics, holding the note, wondering if she would sing Nala's part.
But at least he was happy now. He had his music, and he even had an audience. A one person audience, but one nonetheless. She seemed to be interested in music, so it was all good.
