General Personality: Considering all her interests and likes, Melanthe may seem your average bookworm, studious girl. But she’s far from that. Melanthe is a flirt, and enjoys kissing guys. Well, if they are hot, anyways. Yeah, she is one to go for looks before personality, but she can’t help but like the ones that are uber hot. Well, she probably could, but she doesn’t.
Melanthe really isn’t the average girl you find at Lucy Madison. She isn’t slutty, she despises drugs, she is rather smart, and she’s even talented. Probably the one thing she has in common is her love of alcohol, the fact she doesn’t have the money for Lording’s, and her odd ways of doing things.
Melanthe is one of the odd people in the world. She doesn’t lie often, except to get out of trouble or if the lie works towards her advantage, and she’s extremely blunt when she’s honest. She doesn’t keep things from people, and her hatred for someone is always there, and that person knows it. Melanthe also does completely random things, just because she thinks it’s fun or funny. She loves to break an awkward silence by shouting a random word.
'You Are My Heroine;
Looks Like:Sar Benett
Appearance: Melanthe is one of those pretty girls that can take awesome pictures. She doesn’t parade that over other people though. She has somewhat pale skin, in contrast with other people, and has a slightly chalky look to it. Her hair is black, and long, and is often styled in a different ways and with different color streaks in it. Her eyes are a light green color. She has smooth cheekbones, and nicely curved lips. She loves how she looks, but doesn’t parade that over other people that may not be so lucky.
Clothing Style: Melanthe doesn’t have a particular style, and generally wears whatever works for her. Yes, she cares about fashion, but her clothing is usually mixed up slightly, but it usually just seems to work for her. She does have an eye for fashion, it seems. She especially likes to wear jeans and a shirt, but also wears a dress, as long as it’s cute. She loves to wear converses and band tees.
'The Hours That Were Left Behind;
Family:
Matthew Ross—father, 41, assistant manager at wal-mart
Lillian Ross-mother, 38, postal office worker
Saralyn Ross-sister, 15, freshman at Lucy Madison
History: Unlike some people, Melanthe had a pretty normal childhood. Well, most people did, but they said they didn’t. People seemed to love dramatic pasts, really. Melanthe was born to Matthew Ross and Lillian Williams Ross. They were nothing special, just two teens that met in high school, and ended up getting married. Some might mark them as high school sweethearts, but they themselves didn’t like that term.
Then, they had Melanthe. She wasn’t necessarily a sweet child, but she was normal for an older child. She was bratty at times, sweet at others. Only what you’d expect from her. When Melanthe was three, a cute little girl that caused plenty of trouble, she acquired a baby sister. The baby’s name was Saralyn, and she was absolutely adorable. Mel was actually quite happy at the time to have a sister, well, that’s what her parents told her, anyways.
As children, the two became somewhat close, but as childhood became teenage years, they grew apart. Saralyn was a drama queen, and became increasingly rude to her elder sister. Melanthe always one of the sort of loners, and had a small, tight circle of friends that she trusted. Saralyn, on the other hand, was always the center of attention, and had a broad range of friends, none of which Sara trusted.
Melanthe entered high school with no problem, except possibly the fact that she did not get a scholarship to Lording’s. Melanthe had always been a talented artist, and wanted to go to the Academy to further her art education, but apparantly she wasn’t good enough. Lucy Madison wasn’t a very good place, with fights every couple of days, and drugs and alcohol in the hallway. Teachers didn’t seem to care, really. Not to mention many girls seemed to be walking around with large bellies with tiny babies in them. However, it was something that Melanthe had grown used to. It was pretty much the same in middle school, except the high-class Lording’s kids were there.
As the years in high school passed, Melanthe was drawn further and further into the distorted universe of her group, which by now seemed like a gang to the rest of the school. Melanthe did not, however, do drugs. Alcohol, on the other hand, became to be similar to her life force, like water. Except for the fact that Melanthe was not an alcoholic, she knew better than that. She did stop drinking when the threat of it became to great.
Her mother and father really didn’t care what their daughter did. They also had attended Lucy Madison, and it was the same in those days, and they still act like they were in school. Not to mention the fact that Lillian and Matthew really don’t care what the other does during the day. Anyways, they don’t really care about either of their daughters, nor the animosity between the two.
Now it is Melanthe’s senior year at Lucy Madison, and Saralyn has now entered the school. Melanthe is somewhat popular in her own way, with her group, and Sara is the queen bee of the freshmen. Their distaste of the other grows stronger. Now, who will rule?

Nathaniel was always at the parties. He was one of those guys that was usually invited to every party. And whether or not he was invited, he always went and had bunches of fun. It was also where he met most of his friends. Really, going to parties always got you friends. And sometimes more, even.
This, however, was a different party. It was a Halloween party, which meant everyone was dressed up, and the girls were always wearing something skimpy. Which also meant that his eyes were usually wandering. Hey, it was their own fault. If they didn't want guys looking them up and down, they wouldn't wear such skimpy things.
It took a while after Nata had heard about the party for him to decide on a costume to wear. Nathaniel wanted to look good, naturally. He had thought for a few days on what to wear. He wanted to be something no other guy would be. Something special, something unique. Something that would be so interesting, he would be stared at by everyone at some point in the party. Then, as he was watching a musical for his music class, it struck him. He could be the Phantom.
Yes, he had been watching Phantom of the Opera. It was mostly benefit for the singers. Then again, he had watched it during his choir class, because he was a singer. It was sappy, and all the girls cried. But the Phantom, Eric, was someone who nobody would ever dress up as. He wouldn't be cliche and dress up as Red Death, as he did in the movie and play. No, he would simply be the normal Phantom.
It had taken him a while to find everything he needed. Of course, the Phantom was not a popular costume, even for adults. It was something that had be special made or found. The tux was, of course, easy to get. The only additive was the ruffles in the front. Then, he had to find a good cape, one that would be good for the time period that he had lived in. The only hard part was to find a half mask like Eric had. It wasn't something easily found at normal places. So, he had to go and buy it at a specialty store that had only that sort of thing, and for more money.
Nathaniel pulled on his black boots and gloves, and then fitted on the mask. He had to buy black hair dye and slick it back. That was the part he didn't like. He didn't want to do that, but he wanted to be a tad more convincing as the Phantom than the mask. Of course, he didn't attempt to make his face look distorted. That would scare the hell out of some people, and he didn't want that. So, he simply had the costume and the hair.
Nata looked one last time in the mirror, and then grabbed his keys from the table, and exited the apartments. His costume received interested looks from his neighbors, but he didn't care. Frankly, he was just glad he had something to do on Halloween night. Ian's parties were always the biggest and the best in town, and he was glad to have Ian as his friend, really. And this party was one probably the one most people looked forward to. He sure as hell did. He'd been going to the Halloween Bash since his freshman year here, it only made since he'd still be going to it. The only bad thing was that Ian wouldn't be here next year to throw an awesome party, which meant someone else had to do it.
That aside, Nata made his way to Ian's vacation place. It was an awesome looking place, really. He'd been here several times, for parties and just to hang out with Ian, who happened to be one of Nata's close friends. It made sense, really, seeing as how they met each other back in Nata's freshman year. Of course they would hang out more after that. Finally, Nata found himself on the front porch. He simply knocked, then walked in, as he usually did when he came over during the holidays. He stepped inside and found, further in, several people, including what he considered his two best friends, Daniel Jameson and Ian Roberts.
A grin crept upon Nata's lips, his eyes, framed by the mask, showing a glimmer of amusement. He walked up to Ian and Daniel. "This party had better be better than the last one, Roberts." Was the comment Nathaniel made with a grin. Then Nathaniel took a look around the room. There were two girls already there, and the decorations were, of course, superb. Ian had outdone himself so far, but the overall party would be shown later on, when more people arrived.
